Maple-Fleur de Sel Caramel

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup butter

¾ cup brown sugar or maple sugar

½ cup of  amber maple syrup Domaine du Grand Reed

1 can sweetened condensed milk

2 pinches fleur de sel (or sea salt)

STEPS ​

  1. Melt the butter over medium-high heat.

  2. Add brown sugar and maple syrup.

  3. When the mixture is homogeneous, add the condensed milk, bring to a boil.

  4. Simmer 5 to 7 minutes until thick and golden, stirring constantly.

  5. The caramel can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for 4-5 days.
